On Sunday I jet set off on a 28hr trip to Europe and after catching 3 planes and 2 trains I arrived in Germany on Monday. This is the start of my 2 and half month European riding campaign where I will be competing in the UCI world championships in Norway and 4 UCI world cups – 2 in France, 1 in Switzerland and 1 in Belgium.

The travelling fun didn’t stop there. On Tuesday, Netherlands pro rider Rick Koekoek picked me up for our 13hr drive to the world cup in the South of France. We were off to a great start with the low battery! We eventually got it sorted and arrived in Pra Loup on Wednesday.

Rick found us a 6 person apartment so it’s been tough settling into all this space. The view from our window and balcony are ok…..I guess. Most importantly, the bike is built and rims are ground ready for the competition this weekend! Both Rick and I had a good ride this morning after the long travel. It was good to ride off some of the jet lag. Looking forward to the comp this weekend!
